About the Job
Working within the Global Sourcing Group, the successful Candidate will provide and effective sourcing service to the Covance French site. Key tasks are;
Source and negotiate supply of goods and services, such as laboratory consumables, chemicals and maintenance.
Provide purchasing support and advice to End-Users on site
Monitor and review Vendor/Contract performance and resolve any
issues to minimise risk to the Supply Chain, along with meeting suppliers as required.
Ensure appropriate contract terms and/or service level agreements are in place, negotiating best terms.
Actively expedite Purchase Orders and maintain due date information in FSA
About You
It is essential that you are fluent in both French and English, with proven experience of negotiating French supply contracts.
You should be part or fully CIPS qualified (or equivalent) or study in progress. This is a great opportunity for someone who has completed CIPS (or equivalent) stage 1 as Covance will consider sponsoring you to complete your qualification.
You should be confident with negotiating purchase terms & conditions and be capable of flagging any risks within contracts.
You should have a high degree of computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office and e-procurement systems. FSA system experience would be an advantage
Experience in a scientific environment would be an advantage, along with experience ot working within a Global Matrix environment.

CIPS graduate (or equivalent), or study in progress
Computer literate – particularly Microsoft Office and e-procurement systems

Experience of working within a large Global organsiation preferred.
