FORMULATION CHEMIST - Surfactants

Our client is a fast growing speciality chemicals business based in West Yorkshire with particular strengths in formulating colour systems for a variety of industries. The key to the success of the company has been the senior teams in depth knowledge of their chosen sectors and their focus on targeted R & D together with raw material sourcing expertise and rapid response to clients.

As part of their growth programme they wish to appoint a Formulation Chemist to work in the New Product Development team, reporting to the Research Director. The successful candidate will ultimately be expected to show a high degree of technical leadership including initiation of new research & development programmes and the evaluation/exploitation of new raw materials. The post will also involve agreeing new lines of development work with key customers both in the UK and overseas.

Although experience in formulating surfactants and/or colours would be a distinct advantage, the company would also provide appropriate training and development to a chemist with demonstrable innovation, initiation and evaluation skills. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to draw upon a wealth on knowledge across the senior management team.

You will play a key role in shaping the company’s future product range and will make an important contribution to the continuing growth of the    business.
