Our client produces short-shelf life branded and private label food products from their flagship site in Cardiff, they now have a requirement for a Health and Safety Manager to provide site leadership on HSE projects along with effective guidance to the senior management team to maintain statutory compliance and continued safety performance in line with both Group and site KPIs.

The role requires a process driven individual who will be able to implement a cultural change that will enhance behavioural awareness to reduce accidents and near misses; ensure that the site is constantly legally compliant with all relevant legislation and policies and visibly demonstrates correct safety behaviours.  Leadership skills balanced with the ability to influence and persuade across all levels of the site's management are essential qualities that will be critical to the success of this role.

The ideal candidate will currently hold a Health & Safety Manager’s role within an industrial or manufacturing environment; food manufacture would be a distinct advantage.  Ideally Degree qualified or equivalent in OHS, NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and experienced in PUWER, LOLER, pressurised systems, manual handling and COSHH.
