About the Job
The HR Manager is responsible for driving HR processes and initiatives that attract, motivate, and retain talented and diverse employees, as well as influencing business issues through HR processes while handling multiple projects, for an assigned Region and Business Unit(s). Advising client groups on a variety of HR issues, such as performance, termination, harassment, discrimination, training, recruitment, compensation, and performance management. This is a 5 month
contract based in our Harrogate office.
Work with line management, leadership and employees to provide HR generalist support, guidance, and direction, in alignment with Corporate Centers of Excellence initiatives.
Develop professional relationships with employees at all levels to enable coaching and counseling on HR policies, procedures and compliance.
Build a positive employee relations climate through activities, initiatives, and communication that reinforce the Compelling Offer.
Investigate, recommend and assist with resolving employee relations issues.
Work with legal counsel to ensure corporate compliance and risk management of all issues.
Provide guidance to line management and leadership to ensure compliance and consistency of applicable laws, policies and practices.
About You
To be successful in this role you need to have extensive experience working as a HR Generalist (employee relations, performance management, Non safety assessments, compensation, benefits and recruitment
You will have previous experience of restructuring and be able to work strategically
Ideally, you will have experience in change management.
You will have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
You should have solid analytical ability.

Excellent negotiation skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to handle highly sensitive, confidential information and situations.
Be CIPD qualified or part qualified
Additionally, you must have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively partner with global colleagues on relevant issues and trends.

BS/BA or country equivalent, preferably in Business Administration, Masters in HRM or MBA or country equivalent desirable, plus minimum of 6 years experience in HR. Prefer experience in global (Centralized) and local HR. HR experience should be at a professional level with well-developed skill and knowledge in at least 3 of the following areas: employee relations, organizational development, staffing, compensation, HRIS, training and benefits activities
BS/BA or country equivalent, preferably in Business Administration, Masters in HRM or MBA or country equivalent desirable.

Professional designations/certifications/licenses required

Professional HR qualification (e.g. PHR/SPHR in the US, CIPD in the UK) a plus.
Change management experience, including ability to operate constructively in a changing environment, deal effectively with conflict, multiple priorities and new assignments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with capability to utilize these to build strong business relationships with employees at all levels.
Must possess strong coaching skills
Must possess strong consultative skills, and have ability to resolve conflict effectively.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and independently.
Most possess analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as ability to prioritize and handle multiple priorities.
Gaining comfort in grasping concepts and converting these to proper actions while maintaining confidentiality. Must be able to transfer this ability to managers and supervisors through coaching.
Basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office) with understanding of HRIS
system.
Six Sigma Green Belt training a plus.
Must be comfortable and have developed skill delivering presentations and training.
Expert knowledge of broad range of human resource practices, laws, and regulations (e.g.; EEO, ERISA, FLSA, ADA, OSHA, FMLA and other country equivalents).
Must have unquestionable integrity and confidentiality.
