Laboratory Scientist – Central Dispensary

Covance are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Scientist to come and join our Central Dispensary Department in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

As a Laboratory Scientist within our modern purpose-built Dispensary department, you will play a key role in the preparation and development of a wide range of formulations. Following comprehensive training and career development scheme, the responsibilities of this varied role will include:

The accurate preparation of formulations using the latest techniques following standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
The accurate recording and checking of all relevant study data.
The dispensing and delivery of formulations.
Working with the Formulation Analysts to check the formulations are correct.
The precise labelling of formulations and samples on studies.
The adherence to internationally recognised Good Laboratory Practice regulations.

About you

ideally, you will have a BSc or equivalent level qualification in a Chemistry based subject, however, due to our range of entry level positions, we also welcome applications from non-graduates or pharmacy qualified technicians who have a keen interest to start a career within a laboratory environment.
You should have a target-orientated outlook, well-suited to working within a fast paced, production-intensive environment.
You will have high attention to detail with a proactive attitude and an innovative mindset
you need to have a flexible approach to the acquisition and utilisation of new skills and experiences
