SAS Programmer I (TFL’s) – Leeds City Centre
Covance are currently looking to recruit for a SAS Programmer I within our TFL’s Team at our Leeds City Centre site. As a SAS programmer you are responsible for providing the support in terms of ADaM datasets and tables, figures and listings (TFL) production for reports and other SAS programming as needed. You will also assume the role of Study Programmer for allocated studies. Other duties and responsibilities may include:
Responsible for the production of TFLs to the required specification for clinical, PK and PD reports. This involves production of programs in SAS, to meet client specifications and timeframes.
Ensure that TFLs are produced in a timely and accurate manner and are in accordance with defined standards
Batch run and compile TFLs at appropriate intervals throughout the study process.
Liaise with study team to ensure targets and timelines are achieved
Answer QA audits with guidance from the TFLs Programmer II.
Deputize for the TFLs Programmer II at Pre-lock Meetings and Data Review Meetings on studies he/she has produced TFLs for.
Perform ad-hoc programming in response to unscheduled requests.
May review TFL shells.
May provide support in the creation of SDTM & ADaM datasets.
Ensure all documentation is completed on work produced e.g. QC records
Contribute at department meetings, presenting SAS coding items to the rest of the department.
Develop problem solving skills and a willingness to learn and seek advice from senior programming staff and staff in related disciplines.
Good time management and organization skills, the ability to prioritize own work to meet tight deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of work.
Effective communication skills; a co-operative and team orientated approach.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
About You
you will typically have relevant work experience with increasing responsibility in SAS with knowledge of one or more therapeutic areas.
Knowledge of the drug development process is preferred.
Candidates will typically have a BSc degree in computer sciences or related field.
